Iggy's Bread of the World
by Julie

This is some of the best bread you'll ever eat. Iggy's, located in Massachusetts, supplies bread to many of the fine restaurants in the Boston area. They make a variety of sourdough and French breads, including brioche and croissants. If you're lucky enough to live near their bakery and you're getting hungry at lunch time, stop by for one of their pizzas or a tomato and mozzarella sandwhich on a freshly baked baguette.

Some of my favorite breads are the raisin pecan and the cranberry pecan. Very thick, dense loaves that are wonderful toasted. I also love their breakfast products. They make wonderful chewy bagels and the flaky croissants are the best around; sweet and savory versions include chocolate, ham and cheese, and almond. And don't leave without a sticky bun, it's the best you've ever had. I think they use thier croissant dough to make the buns and even though they are sticky, they aren't too sweet.

Other bread choices include a selection of focaccia, brioche bread and rolls, Francese loaves, dark rye sourdough, and some seasonal specials. Iggy's reputation has grown over the years. They were once a featured segement on one of Martha Stewarts shows.
