Buttermilk Pie
1 unbaked 9-inch pie shell
1 1/2 cups sugar
1/4 cup flour
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 cup butter, melted
1 cup buttermilk
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 tablespoon lemon juice
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
Combine sugar and flour. Add eggs, butter, buttermilk, vanilla and lemon juice, blending well. Turn into prepared pie crust. Bake at 400 for 10 minutes, then reduce heat to 325 degrees F. and continue baking for 30 to 25 minutes. Filling should be set.
Cool completely before cutting.
