Cheese Scones

2 cups flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 cups grated cheddar cheese
1/2 cup butter
1/3 cup milk
2 eggs

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Combine flour, baking powder and salt in a large bowl. Stir in cheese and mix well. Cut in butter with a pastry blender or two knives until mixture is crumbly. Beat eggs with milk and add to flour mixture to form a stiff dough.

Divide dough into two pieces. Form each piece into a ball then pat out to form an 8-inch circle. Cut each circle into 6 wedges. Place wedges onto lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake for about 15 minutes until lightly browned.
