Print this recipe   Surprise Cookies 1 cup butter, softened 1/2 cup confectioners sugar 2 teaspoons vanilla 2 cups sifted all-purpose flour 1 cup finely chopped walnuts 40 Hershey kisses, unwrapped Additional confectioners sugar Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. In a large bowl beat butter, 1/2 cup of confectioners sugar and vanilla until light and fluffy. Beat in flour and nuts until well combined. Divide dough into 40 equal parts. Wrap dough around each individual Hershey kiss, covering completely. Place on ungreased cookie sheets and bake at 375 for about 10-12 minutes. Cookies will stay light colored. Let cookies sit for one minute, then roll in confectioners sugar. Let cookies cool completely and then roll them again in confectioners sugar to coat. Store in an airtight containter Makes 40 cookies.
