Cheddar Pie Crust
This crust is great with apple pie
2 C. sifted flour
1 tsp. salt
1/3 cup vegetable shortening
1/3 cup cold butter
1/2 cup grated sharp cheddar cheese
5-7 Tablespoons ice cold water
Sift flour and salt in a bowl. With a pastry blender or two knives, cut in shortening and butter until
crumbly. Mix in grated cheese. Add water on tablespoon at a time, just until mixture sticks together. Form the dough into two balls. Roll each into a crust as needed.
Makes 2 pie crusts.
