Mayonnaise Cake
2 cups flour
1 cup sugar
6 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa
½ teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 ¼ cups mayonnaise
1 cup milk
2 teaspoons vanilla
Grease and flour two 8-inch round cake pans. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Combine the flour, sugar, cocoa, salt, and baking soda and set aside. In a medium bowl mix the mayonnaise, milk and vanilla until blended. Add the dry ingredients and beat until smooth.
Divide the batter between the prepared pans and bake for 35-30 minutes or until cake tester comes out clean. Cool in pans for 5 minutes, then turn out onto rack too cool completely. Fill and frost with your favorite frosting.
