Butternut Rolls
4 cups flour
1 pound butter
2 egg yolks
1 1/2 cups milk
1 Tbsp. white vinegar
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 1/2 cups chopped walnuts
2 Tbls. ground cinnamon
Cut butter into flour. Add egg yolks, milk, and vinegar to flour mixture and blend well. Form dough into a ball and refrigerate 2-4 hours. Combine sugar, walnuts and cinnamon in a small bowl.
Divide chilled dough into 6 pieces. Work with 1 piece at a time, refrigerate the remaining dough. Roll out the dough on a floured surface into a rectangle about 1/2 inch thick. Spread 1/2 cup of the walnut mixture over the dough, then starting at long end, roll up tightly, like a jelly roll. Slice into 12 1/2-inch slices. Place on greased cookie sheet and bake at 375 degrees F. for 25 - 30 minutes. Repeat with remaining dough.
